Flight to Light was founded by Lisa Shelman, the broker/owner of Land Chick Realty, under which this sister organization found its wings, and Janna Leadbetter, a domestic abuse survivor and advocate who still contributes as an empowerment consultant.
Our founding board members include Reagan Harrison, whose Bachelor’s in Banking and Finance ensures our compliance and financial integrity, and Peyton Harrison, whose deep-rooted instinct to protect and support those in vulnerable situations is compounded by a childhood relationship with the inspiration behind our nonprofit, Sammy Jo.

Lisa’s wish, as from the beginning, is that Flight to Light makes a positive impact on as many lives as possible. She wants to show those experiencing their most vulnerable times that support is available.
